Kids4CPR believes that keiki (kids) have superpowers. The Superhero Program empowers our youth with the knowledge to save lives with Hands Only™ CPR and the ability to teach their peers to do the same. This program is available in grade-appropriate levels for all schools and children's community groups. Contact us at (808) 369-8756 to schedule your class or for more information.

Why Teach Kids?

Kids4CPR has been teaching students ranging from pre-kindergarten through high school since 2010, and have come to the conclusion that it is not essential for young children to be able to adequately perform CPR (usually occurs around sixth grade), rather, it is important that they become familiar with the skills--through repeated trainings--with the hope that they eventually become ‘willing to help’ adults. After all, we teach children from a young age to ‘stop, drop, and roll’ when they are on fire; it is reasonable to also teach them to ‘call, push, respond’ when someone suddenly collapses. Extraordinary stories of young children performing CPR and saving siblings, parents, and friends are not unheard of, nor are stories of young children telling an adult how to perform CPR. Kids who have participated in Kids4CPR programs have saved parents, grandparents, and friends. A 9-year-old boy on Oahu saved his father’s life, a 10-year-old boy on Kauai saved his grandfather’s life, and a teacher and high school student saved the life of a fellow high school student on the Big Island.
